If what you're looking for is meta healers then your options are: firebrand, mechanist, tempest, druid, and finally and the most different one is scourge (considered a heavy carry). There are other healers that are not quite meta yet but can be worked with (heal herald for example). Healers in gw2 are not only expected to heal but also provide Rangers are terrible at ST-like protection builds but can easily outdo a Ritualist in a pure damage SoGM-based build. This is especially true if the player is skillful at placing and timing spirits so they take less spike damage. Rangers can often maintain Communing damage spirits far better than a Ritualist.

Once a profession is selected for a character, it cannot be changed. How many professions can you have in Guild Wars 2? There are nine different crafting disciplines. Initially only two can be active at a time on each character, but up to two more (for a total of 4) may be added using Additional Crafting Licenses from the Gem Store.

Mesmer can move about a mile in less than a second thanks to Portal, but that's probably not what you were asking for. The absolute fastest a profession can be is probably a Thief with full Runes of the Trapper, since they can spam Shortbow 3 until they run out of initiative, then drop traps for super speed while waiting for initiative to recharge.
Use armorsmith and weaponsmith in the Rev and tailor and artificier in the mirage (leatherwork and huntsman for the Ranger). Power Soulbeast is very fun. congrate, you own the 3 most op classes for open world. herald, untamed, mirage. pick any, all great. optionally run celestial gear for even more survivability.
If you have 1 heal skill, 3 utilities and 1 elite skill how many builds can you make? Just 1. If you have 2 heal skills, 6 utilities, and 2 elites, how many builds can you make? 80. Now your examples, and more closely related to the sample size of the game: If you have 4 heal skills, 20 utilities and 4 elite skills how many builds can you make Yeah, my idea would be for it to be like FF14, you can have multiple professions on one character, but you still have to level those professions up. My idea was you could switch your active profession in your home instance. When this happens, all your Hero Points will be refunded, so you can then use those hero points to get skills and
Thanks.I have a few tomes to get to Lvl 50ish and could skip a bit closer using crafting and finish it all up with exp. boosters.I won't buy a Lvl 80 Boost on a character I may/not keep for long. I appreciate everyone who has responded here. I'm glad many people have the same feelings toward certain professions as I do. I feel a bit more normal.
Mantras would be a good example of that in this patch. 4. I have yet to see Anet indicate some change to optimize for content, as you would expect if they were balancing to meta level. I think where 'average players' are considered is with changes to how things work or thematic ones, like Mantra or Retaliation.
As in almost any MMO, Guild Wars 2 has a robust crafting system that will let you gather materials and craft a wide variety of items, both for personal use and to sell to other players. There are
They can be steered to the least played classes (Reveannt and Engineer) and each are unique in their own rite and be tied to an elite spec. Revenant - Some kind of mistwalker spec where the user can create a portal that is only one way. Perhaps users gain stability and/or protection upon exit. Engineer - Has to build each side of the portal .
